· Qualified for Blue Ribbon School based on 2011 Terra Nova (TN) Test Scores for grades 1-7
· 4th grade TN Writing Assessment— scored better than 83% of students taking the test nationally
· 7th grade TN Writing Assessment—scored better than 96.2% of students taking the test nationally
· COOP (Catholic High School Entrance Exam) - Lacordaire’s 8th grade’s mean score in Math was
       20 percentage points higher than the combined mean for all schools in the Arch Diocese of Newark

· League Champions in Volleyball—coed grades 5-8

Academic Philosophy
Lacordaire Academy strives to deliver a challenging interactive curriculum that engages students, strengthens communication skills, encourages critical thinking and problem solving and promotes global awareness, character development, and creativity.
The Academy is located in Upper Montclair on a picturesque three acre campus  a short distance from resources such as the Montclair Art Museum, Montclair Public Library, and Montclair State University.
All full time faculty members have Teaching Certificates in Education and/or advanced degree(s)  in their field or subject area.
Graduates: All of our graduates are accepted into competitive Catholic, private or boarding schools of their choice, many with scholarships and in advanced classes. Schools our  graduates attend include but are not limited to the following:
